The first frost.

It's August 28th, and I woke up to the first frost of the season. I stepped out of my apartment, walked down the stairs and had to catch myself when I stepped onto the boardwalk because it was so slippery. I didn't expect fall to come so soon! It has been a lot colder these past few days, and this is apparently the beginning of the cold weather to come.
