Moon Dog Pictures.

This was the night that the moon was so bright, it was after the new year, the first couple weeks of January.

These are pictures of the Moon Dog. Sure enough, the next day we got a blizzard. It's amazing how much the people out here can predict the weather. It's unfortunate that life up here can be dictated by it, but kind of cool that you can tell what's going to happen by cloud coverage, the horizon, and what's going on with the moon.

For a couple weeks we have -20 degree weather. One afternoon the first grade teacher grabbed Voni and I and brought us to the window. She pointed out the cloud that was way off in the horizon. She told us that it meant warmer weather was coming. She was right, in a few days, the temperature went up to about 15 degrees or so, and we got a blizzard. This was around the same time as the moon dog. The weather warmed up enough for it to snow a lot, and then it dropped back down to the negatives!
